What IS an ipod? Part 2: The Next Generation

After the success of the original first generation ipod, there came a demand for a more updated version. Thus, the second generation ipod was born in July of 2002.

This model looks identical to the first generation model with ONE difference major physical difference. It had a touch wheel rather than a spinning wheel.

With this model of the ipod, you had the choice of a 10gb hard drive or a 20gb hard drive. This was just the start of the mass storage system that became the fifth generation ipod. This one, like the first generation, had a 10 hour battery life.
